Dr. Vimal Choudhary

Dr Vimal Choudhary is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Khaitan & Co and leads all the allied functions of the Firm. 

With over 23 years of experience, Vimal oversees the firm’s operations, strategy and transformation initiatives, working closely with leadership, partners and cross-functional teams to build scalable capabilities, enhance client service delivery and support long-term growth and vision.

Prior to joining Khaitan & Co, he spent over two decades at McKinsey & Company, where he served as Head of McKinsey’s Global Centres in India and Global Chief Strategy Officer at McKinsey Global Services. In these roles,  he played a pivotal role in shaping major transformation initiatives, enhancing operational infrastructure and delivering sustainable impact across geographies. He has also contributed to thought leadership on globalisation and leadership and served on the boards of McKinsey Knowledge Center, McKinsey Global Capabilities & Services and ETML Singapore. He was also on the Regional Council of NASSCOM.

Vimal is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA in Finance from IMI, New Delhi. He has also completed executive leadership programmes at Harvard Business School and ISB Hyderabad. He is based out of Khaitan & Co’s Mumbai office.
